Capturing the beauty of the British Isles a few mega pixels at a time
I am a landscape photographer based in the beautiful county of Cornwall south west England. With its amazing beaches, dramatic coastlines quaint little harbours and villages it is the perfect location to explore with a camera.
“There are no rules for good photographs, there are only good photographs.” — Ansel Adams
Given a Pentax film camera by my dad who was himself a keen photographer I learned the dark art of film and slide photography with help and encouragement from my dad I soon learned that landscapes were my forte and
began my photography journey some 18 years ago in the stunning Lake District National Park where I was fortunate enough to live and work
Move to digital
Digital came along and changed my photography style again. Developing my own style with digital over the years I hope my photos convey just how beautiful the English countryside is and inspire others to get out there with the camera and capture it for themselves.
Never stop exploring
I am always exploring new locations to take photos, revisiting locations I have shot many times before to capture them in different light or as I like to say in different moods.
From the Highlands and Islands of Scotland with its challenging light (weather!) in the remote and rugged mountains and glens to the beaches of Cornwall with its softer light and of course the Lake District with its more man made feel yet equally as stunning as the Scottish Highlands.
Where have my prints and photos been published?
My photo of the Giants Fist Coverack Beach is featured on the front cover of the Wild Lizard magazine. along with photo of Coveracks amazing Christmas lights reflected in the harbour water.
A big thank you to Coverack community Group for putting my photos forward.
